Fast Forward

Wow, what a year.  Both parents were in the hospital - heart center - at the same time.  They were one floor apart.  Our son moved back in with us temporarily while he finds a place to live.  It's been several months now.  The blueberries are ready for picking and I'm starting to be out there once a day.  I have more rabbits than I ever expected in the rescue.  I'm painting the outside of my studio.   etc.

Not much time for crafts, but I still have a little time.  I've been weaving coasters from rags.  They are actually cute and rustic.  I haven't got any pictures yet, but will soon.  I'll begin posting them on my site.  I've also been using my scraps again to make luv bunnies.  I've come up with a design for a dog too.  I also decided that my hearts should be potpourri and am filling them with rice soaked in oils.  I have to soak them just right so the oil doesn't seep through to the weaving.  I want to import a picture but I am having difficulty figuring out how.  It's been a while.  I'll try again at another time.

UPDATE ON ANGEL:  She is growing and growing.  I've had her teeth trimmed every 3 weeks.  I finally decided to take her to a specialist and had her teeth removed.  She was eating in a day and is happy (except when I give her the meds).  There is a true bond between nurse/patient.  We both love each other so much.  I do fear that she is pulling back because of all the medicines.  This is going to be hard to put her up for adoption.  Not that they are all difficult to see leave, but they are going to good home (I hope) that will love them and give them more individual time.

I'm going to try to craft a bit today, and pick blueberries.

Websites

Many, many items have expired on both of my websites on Etsy.  I am so behind.  How does anyone keep up with listing and organizing when we want to make things too?  The love to create stuff!  But I also need to sell it to buy more supplies to make stuff.  I also need to sell it to make room for more supplies and more stuff I make.

Rabbit Day at Ani-Mall

Saturday, Christy, Kris and I took 4 rabbit fosters with us to an event an Ani-Mall in Cary.  The event was Rabbit Day and we educate people about rabbits care, food, housing, litter, etc.  We also sell "Make Mine Chocolate" pins and hand out information on the campaign.  I think there were 5 rescues there, a veterinarian demonstrating nail cutting and many people willing to discuss rabbit care.  We also had raffles on bunny related items (a box of Farmer Dave's hay, a basket filled with bunny toys and treats, a bunny castle, etc.).  We even had a craft fair with all the money being donated to the rescues.  I donated my little clay bunny items.

Cute bunny pins, magnets, beads, miniature sculptures, bowls and pendants.  We placed one of my items in each raffle item too.  We sold many and all of the funds went to the rescues!  Yeah!
It was a fun event and I want to thank Triangle Rabbit Group for organizing this wonderful annual event.
